OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1932, LaBrant & Associates is a fourth-generation, family-owned commercial painting & decorating company based in Milwaukee. What began as a small union shop operated by LaBrant’s grandfather has grown into a business defined by craftsmanship, community investment, and steady family leadership. LaBrant took over at age 17 and has led day-to-day operations ever since. Now in his 50th year, he is preparing to hand off the business to the next generation: Ava and Tyler.

In 2018, his son Tyler, a UW–Madison graduate and licensed Professional Engineer, returned to help modernize and grow the business. After serving six years as President, he now acts as Senior Advisor, focusing on long-term strategy and mentoring his sister Ava, who is working hands-on in the field and preparing to lead daily operations.

Our mission is to deliver consistent service, invest in skilled trades, and uphold the integrity and quality that have defined us for over 90 years. From our shop in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, we bring value, reliability, and care to every project and maintain strong relationships in the communities we serve.
